If you had looked at Raia Drogasil in early 2026 and decided to wait for clearer signals on its digital push and aging-customer story, that caution would have spared you a heavy hit. Holding Raia Drogasil from the start of the year would have meant a 36.4% loss, including dividends. With Q3 2026 now showing higher revenue and profit, the puzzle is this: Which assumptions baked into those bullish and bearish reports were already flashing yellow on 1 January 2026?
Narratives are how investors here put a case on the record, with explicit assumptions about revenue, margins and the multiple. Those assumptions imply an estimated Fair Value.
The easy part of this move is behind Raia Drogasil. Zero in on 220 high quality undervalued stocks for companies trading below our estimates.
The shares cost R$23.4 at the start of the period, and Raia Drogasil sat between two very different but credible stories about its future.
The bullish Narrative, published in June 2025, pinned Fair Value at R$31 and leaned on rapid digital gains. It assumed 18.8% yearly revenue expansion, margin improvement from 3.0% to 3.4%, and a future P/E of 34.9x as online and marketplace activity scaled.
The more cautious December 2025 case put Fair Value at R$21.58 and focused on execution and competition risk. It still assumed 14.0% annual revenue growth, a 3.4% margin, and a future P/E of 29.7x, but highlighted pressure from e-commerce rivals and regulatory threats.
The Q3 2026 report gave Raia Drogasil higher total revenue of R$11,409.006m and higher net income of R$408.262m compared with Q3 2025. Net margin moved from 3.4% to 3.6%. That pattern supported the optimistic view on profitability, although it did not yet test the more aggressive multi year revenue and P/E assumptions in full.
The hinge here was the profitability line. When you see a thesis built on better margins, track net margin in each filing and compare it directly with the percentage path the original narrative assumed.
Raia Drogasil now trades at R$14.83, after a 36.4% loss from the start of the year. The selected Narrative still places its Fair Value above that level, based on how the business might use its size and digital reach.
The argument leans on Raia Drogasil turning omnichannel scale and GLP-1 demand into stronger cash generation without losing margin discipline. A buyer today would need to believe that cost control can keep pace with faster online and delivery driven sales.
"The main thing that has to go right is that Raia Drogasil converts its large omnichannel scale, rapid delivery, and expanding GLP-1 category into sustained cash generation while keeping SG&A and personnel costs under control."
