If you only glanced at Netmarble’s latest quarterly report, the story might look straightforward. Revenue and profit both moved higher and net margin widened, which usually sounds like the setup for a winning trade. For Netmarble shareholders, the loss over the past year was 31.0%, including dividends. If you had been weighing a position back in November 2025, what signals were already on the table that this gap between business progress and share price could open up?
Netmarble has already moved. See which of 229 high quality undervalued stocks still trade below our estimates.
The shares cost ₩54,600 at the start of the period, and Netmarble sat between two very different narratives about where the business could head next.
On the optimistic side, the bull case pointed to a Fair Value of ₩67,476, the price implied if its assumptions played out. This view was anchored to revenue growth of 5.5% and a future profit margin of 15.2% supported by new launches and self-developed IP.
The bear view argued for a Fair Value of ₩32,000 based on tougher regulation and competition. Analysts in that camp assumed revenue would decline 1.9% a year even as margins rose toward 9.4%.
The clearest update came from Netmarble’s Q2 2026 figures. Revenue reached ₩749,215.1 million and net income hit ₩197,612.4 million, with net margin at 26.4% compared with 22.3% a year earlier. Profitability moved closer to the optimistic margin story; however, one quarter of stronger earnings still left the broader debate between the bull and bear cases unresolved.
The portable lesson is simple. When a thesis hinges on higher future margins, track net income and net margin in each report and see how quickly, and how consistently, they move toward the target line.
Netmarble now trades at ₩34,575, well below where it started a year ago. The selected Narrative’s Fair Value sits above the current price, reflecting a view that recent cost data, platform mix, and capital return plans are not fully reflected in today’s valuation.
This Narrative leans on successful multi platform launches, tighter expenses, and planned buybacks to support future earnings power. For the fall to look like an opportunity rather than a warning, a buyer today would need to believe Netmarble converts that pipeline and cost discipline into steadier margins despite past title volatility.
"The main thing that has to go right is that Netmarble converts its multi platform pipeline and cost controls, including lower commission rates and stable headcount with higher revenue, into durable margins while managing title performance volatility."

Netmarble competes for attention: your time, your wallet, your habits.
Streaming platforms chase the same scarce resource and crowd your screen.
Series, films and games all jostle beside Netmarble’s mobile titles.
One large platform now leans less on pure subscriber chasing and more on pricing power, advertising and buybacks.
The open question is how long that shift works before users push back or new features stop meaningfully improving free cash flow.
