The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced today that the official foreign exchange reserve assets of Hong Kong at the end of October 2026 were US$440.5 billion. There were no unsettled foreign exchange contracts at the end of October and the end of September 2026. The total amount of foreign exchange reserve assets of US$440.5 billion is equivalent to more than 5 times the currency in circulation in Hong Kong, or about 36% of the Hong Kong dollar money supply M3.
