Zhitong Finance App learned that on November 6, Hong Kong Financial Services Council Chairman Hong Pi said at the Legislative Council Financial Affairs Committee meeting that he has been in the financial industry for nearly 40 years, and he rarely sees strong growth in different sectors of the financial industry, including new stock listings, insurance, asset and wealth management, family offices, banking, RMB business and debt development, etc., and believes that geopolitics accelerate the restructuring of trade chains, investment chains and capital chains. Businesses and investors all need to re-evaluate global policy risks and seek a policy environment for growth, risk diversification and stability. There are very few centers, and Hong Kong is one such example.

Hong Pi-ching pointed out that in addition to policy research, marketing and talent development, the work of the Hong Kong Financial Services Council is also in line with the Policy Address's two new areas of work, including coordinating the entire financial industry to provide 1,000 internships and developing talent training for the gold and commodities industries.

He believes that Hong Kong currently has no shortage of opportunities; the key is whether it can be faster and more aggressive than other markets. The Hong Kong Financial Services Council will continue to cooperate with the government, regulators and the industry, and is confident that Hong Kong will go further, faster and further in the next financial wave.

Furthermore, he also suggested that many financial segments have demands, but resources are limited, and priority should be given to promoting the development of several major sectors, such as global asset reallocation, RMB internationalization, electronic currency, and gold, to maximize economic benefits.
