During the three-year special operation for patent conversion and application in China, the number of patent transfer license filings nationwide reached 1.458 million, a 48% year-on-year increase compared with before the implementation of the special action. The industrialization rate of invention patents in universities and scientific research institutions reached 10.1% and 17.2% respectively, an increase of 6.2 and 3.9 percentage points, respectively, compared to before the special operation. A large number of “sleeping” patents were successfully awakened and put on the market.
