Coeur Mining stock barely budged after Q3 2026 earnings, ticking up just 0.3% to about $14.60. The move is tiny compared with what the company just reported. Gold production reached 5.0 troy ounces and revenue came in at about $984m, contributing to roughly $109m of net income.
The real story is not today’s small price reaction. For anyone thinking in years rather than days, the strain shows up in profitability and valuation, with net profit margin sitting near 19% and a P/E multiple above both peer and broader industry averages.

Management says Q4 could nearly double last year’s free cash flow. Ask Charlie what makes Coeur Mining so sure about record 2026 cash.
The bullish pitch hangs on Coeur Mining turning its bigger footprint into durable cash. The clearest version of that ambition is here.
"Bullish analysts expect Coeur Mining to use its larger seven mine North American portfolio, record 2026 revenue, EBITDA and free cash flow, and the cash flow from its Canadian assets to create substantial long term value for shareholders."
Q3 results partly line up with that script. Adjusted EBITDA of about US$448m and roughly US$240m of free cash flow show the portfolio producing real cash, with New Afton and Rainy River contributing despite ramp friction. Management reiterated guidance for record full year adjusted EBITDA above US$2.0b and around US$1.3b of free cash flow. If achieved, this would mark a concrete milestone toward that cash focused narrative.

Bearish investors question whether Coeur Mining can actually get its Canadian underground operations running at the throughput management has mapped out.
"Although Coeur Mining outlines multi year volume growth from Rochester, New Afton and Rainy River, the slower than planned ramp at the Canadian mines and guidance reset for 2026 suggest that any further delays in reaching 16,000 tonnes per day at New Afton or 5,000 tonnes per day underground at Rainy River could pull expected production into later years and reduce revenue and EBITDA versus current expectations."
Q3 results only partly quiet that concern. New Afton has now reached the 16 kt per day mining rate, which directly challenges the delay narrative. Rainy River is closer but not there yet, running around 3.4 kt per day with intermittent 5.0 kt per day and still leaning on low grade stockpiles. Reaffirmed full year guidance and a planned Q4 production lift show progress, although the ramp remains unfinished and keeps the bear case alive for now.
Coeur Mining reports a strong headline quarter while its share price response stays restrained. The real opportunity sits in finding stocks that could be undervalued before the market catches up.
