Goldman Sachs Group and Apollo Global Management are in talks with Washington and Wall Street investors to begin selling SpaceX's share of a $40 billion chip financing deal. The deal was structured to exclude debt from SpaceX's balance sheet, and investors were required to buy a single share of up to $500 million before the formal syndicated joint underwriting process began. The debt financing package will be used to pay for approximately $47.3 billion in graphics processor equipment purchases, Nvidia's latest Rubin chips, which will be delivered in the first half of 2027.
