M/A-Com: Fiscal Q4 Earnings Snapshot

LOWELL, Mass. (AP) — LOWELL, Mass. (AP) — M/A-Com Technology Solutions Holdings Inc. (MTSI) on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $139.4 million.

The Lowell, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of $1.78 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $2.09 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2 per share.

The chipmaker posted revenue of $424.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $420.2 million.

For the current quarter ending in December, M/A-Com expects its per-share earnings to range from $2.21 to $2.29.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $450 million to $460 million for the fiscal first quarter.
