The Zhitong Finance App learned that on November 5, Shell (02423) issued a “Major Illness Passing Guide” for the company's 500,000 service providers on the 18th anniversary of the Greene Plan and the 8-month implementation of the Health Home Protection Fund, integrating the quadruple benefits formed by the Green Plan and the Health Family Protection Fund into one place. The guide clearly shows the scope of application, application conditions, and application portal of the quadruple guarantee. Service providers can compare their own circumstances to determine the scope of application. The quadruple guarantees do not conflict with each other and can be claimed in combination.

On the same day, the two major insurance projects were updated and progressed: Green plans to amend the regulations to make adjustments to details such as relief amounts and pre-existing conditions to further enhance the protection rights of service providers; Health Home Health Insurance announced the latest distribution status. As of October 31, a total of 13.54 million yuan had been distributed to 304 service providers. Of these, 187 were also members of the Green Plan, and 54 had received the “Guardian Gold+Green” superimposed guarantee, with a total of 6.897 million yuan.

According to information, the Greene Plan and the Health Family Protection Fund complement each other: the former has a wider scope of coverage, and the illness and accident of the servant, spouse, children, parents, and parents are covered; the latter is more focused on dealing with emergencies and difficulties after a major illness is diagnosed. Judging from application data, thyroid cancer and breast cancer are at the top of both programs.

The current upgrade of the Greene Plan regulations has also further enhanced the protection rights and interests of service providers. In the same natural year, the same beneficiary applied for help multiple times due to different illnesses. If eligible, the exemption amount is only calculated once a year; lung nodules, breast nodules, and thyroid nodules are detected before entry into force; if the corresponding tumors are diagnosed after admission, they can no longer be recognized as “pre-existing symptoms”; a period of hesitation has been added. From the day of enrolment until the first day of the following month, they can apply for withdrawal and apply for a refund simultaneously; the membership age calculation rules have also been adjusted. The Green Plan is a service provider guarantee program launched by Shell in 2008, formerly known as Chainjia Group Mutual Aid Fund. In January 2021, as donations from executives and old employees continued to be injected, the maximum amount of cumulative aid was raised from 200,000 yuan to 2 million yuan. As of October 31, the Green Plan had received a total of 64,730 applications, with a distribution amount of nearly 880 million yuan. Among them, in addition to the amount paid by members, the total funding gap was 124,453,291.03 yuan, which was replenished by seashell group, shell and chain executives and senior employees.

The Health Home Protection Fund was established by Shell co-founder Peng Yongdong and Singang donating a total of 19 million shares in April 2025 and February 2026. The project covers the service providers themselves. There is no need to join or pay a separate fee. It automatically takes effect after 6 months of employment, and the beneficiaries are over 500,000 residential industry service providers. There are three sub-programs under the project: those diagnosed with a serious illness and complete data can claim 20,000 yuan of emergency life benefits within 2 working days; those who completely lose their ability to work or die can receive a one-time home heating allowance of 100,000 yuan; beneficiaries of the Home Heating Assistance Fund with children can also receive education benefits ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 yuan depending on the child's schooling age.
