RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Universal Corp. (UVV) on Wednesday reported net income of $12.6 million in its fiscal second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Richmond, Virginia-based company said it had net income of 50 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 39 cents per share.

The leaf tobacco merchant posted revenue of $621.8 million in the period.
