Studio Dragon’s latest quarterly report put fresh numbers on the table, with Q2 2026 revenue of ₩145,291.9 million and a swing from a Q2 2025 loss to net income of ₩13,016.7 million. That sort of shift catches attention. Holding Studio Dragon from the start of the year would have meant a 50.2% loss, including dividends. If you had been deciding on 1 January, how much weight would you have put on those sharply diverging bull and bear cases?
A Narrative on Simply Wall St is one investor's written case for a company, with its growth, margin and multiple assumptions spelled out. Those assumptions imply an estimated Fair Value.

The shares cost ₩41,800 at the start of the period, and Studio Dragon sat between two very different stories that both sounded plausible.
On the optimistic side, the bullish narrative put Fair Value at ₩71,000 and leaned on rapid international expansion. It assumed revenue growth of 25.7% a year and a jump in profit margins from 0.8% to 12.3% by 2028.
The bearish view anchored Fair Value at ₩30,000 and focused on streaming fatigue and rising costs. It assumed slower 7.6% annual revenue growth, margin pressure despite an increase only to 7.4%, and heavy reliance on a few global platforms as a key risk.
Studio Dragon put out a clear datapoint. Q2 2026 revenue reached ₩145,291.9 million and net income moved to ₩13,016.7 million, with net margin rising from a Q2 2025 loss of 3.3% to a 9.0% profit. That shift in profitability supported the optimistic view on margins, although one strong quarter on its own did not settle the longer term growth argument.
The episode here turned on profitability assumptions. When you weigh another content producer, check whether net margin actually trends toward the narrative in recent filings and compare that path to the margin level analysts built into their Fair Value stories.
Studio Dragon now trades at ₩23,200 from the start of the year, down 50.2% on a total return basis, while the selected Narrative places Fair Value above that share price based on its own assumptions.
That Narrative hinges on Studio Dragon turning its IP focused platform push into sustainably higher margins, so a buyer today would need to judge that this profitability path can be maintained.
"Key Takeaways: Analysts expect Studio Dragon to build on expanding global OTT distribution, presales and overseas content sales to grow its drama and IP based platform business over time. The main requirement is that Studio Dragon turns its shift toward IP based platform initiatives, YouTube driven branding and blockbuster lineups into consistently stronger profitability while managing production costs and amortization."
