ISPE Announces Three New Certificate Programs from ISPE Academy

New certificates focusing on quality essentials, quality control (QC) lab testing fundamentals, and regulatory chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) essentials are now available. Those who successfully complete a certificate program will also now receive a digital badge.

NORTH BETHESDA, Md., Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) has announced three new professional development certificates through ISPE Academy, its comprehensive set of continuing education programs.

"We developed ISPE Academy to help life sciences professionals develop and strengthen the specialized skills needed in today's pharmaceutical environment," said Brandon Pastore, Senior Director of Professional Development at ISPE. "We launched ISPE Academy in 2025 and have grown it to nine certificate programs, covering a wide range of topics from biopharmaceutical essentials to GAMP^®, pharmaceutical water systems, and quality management maturity."

The new programs are as follows.

• The Quality Essentials certificate program provides a foundation in the core principles, processes, and expectations of a robust pharmaceutical quality system. This multi-course program is designed for professionals working in or entering GMP-regulated environments. It fosters a deep understanding of quality events, controlled documentation, and the quality elements needed to sustain compliance, data integrity, and operational excellence throughout the product lifecycle. 
• The QC Lab Testing Fundamentals certificate program builds a strong foundation for professionals who support QC laboratory operations in GMP environments. The program blends ISPE's GMP Fundamentals course series with practical QC laboratory skills and ICH recommendations. Courses are intended to equip professionals with the knowledge needed to generate reliable data, make sound release decisions, and sustain inspection-ready performance across the product lifecycle. 
• The Regulatory CMC Essentials certificate program is designed to cultivate core competencies in global pharmaceutical quality and CMC regulation. The certificate program is centered on the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) Q6–Q10 and Q12 guidelines. It provides learners with the foundational knowledge required to navigate quality expectations across the product lifecycle, including the science- and risk-based approach, from development and manufacturing to change management and continual improvement.

ISPE has also launched a new digital credentialing initiative. Individuals who complete a certificate program will earn a new digital badge that they can share across social media platforms and on their resumes.
