Sanofi Partners with UAE University on Genomic Studies into Asthma, COPD

05:59 AM EST, 11/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sanofi (SAN.PA) is collaborating with Khalifa University of Science and Technology in the United Arab Emirates to study genetic variations linked to asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, according to a Wednesday release. Under the research agreement, the French pharmaceutical company and the university will conduct a genome-wide association study to identify genetic factors linked to the chronic respiratory diseases and better understand their biology. The study will use data from the Emirati Genome Program and Malaffi, Abu Dhabi's health information exchange platform.
