DuPont de Nemours Inc. (NYSE:DD) reported third-quarter 2026 results that beat analyst expectations and raised its full-year outlook, with management citing stronger order visibility and faster AI-enabled execution across the business.

CEO Lori Koch said on the earnings call that DuPont’s order book was "solidly up double digits" year over year, adding that the company can generally begin each quarter with a full order book.

Earnings Snapshot

DuPont reported adjusted earnings of $2.09 per share, beating the $1.87 analyst estimate. Sales of $1.87 billion beat the $1.84 billion estimate and rose 4% from $1.80 billion a year earlier. Organic sales increased 5%.

GAAP diluted EPS from continuing operations increased to $1.24 from 70 cents a year earlier. Operating EBITDA rose 8% to $469 million, while margin expanded 80 basis points to 25.1%.

Healthcare & Water Technologies sales rose 4% to $865 million, while operating EBITDA increased 7% to $263 million. Diversified Industrials sales rose 4% to $1.00 billion, and operating EBITDA rose 11% to $242 million.

Order Visibility and AI Execution

Management said demand visibility was improving, while DuPont’s presentation showed double-digit order trends, more than 2% net productivity and over 100 basis points of improvement in on-time, in-full performance.

Koch said DuPont is using AI to accelerate research and commercial activity.

"So what used to take us about three months to move something from stage zero into stage one is now taking about five days because of the improvement that we’ve driven on using AI to be able to speed up that front end," Koch said.

She also said AI-enabled sales efforts generated "five or six million dollars of lift on the top line" within the Tyvek garment business.

Middle East Water Timing

Management also flagged a timing shift in large Middle East water projects.

CFO Antonella Franzen said the orders remain secured, but continued disruptions pushed expected revenue recognition into 2027.

"While we have the orders in hand for our large water projects in the Middle East, given the continued disruptions, our guidance now assumes these projects will be pushed into 2027," Franzen said.

Cash Flow and Capital Returns

Cash provided by operating activities from continuing operations totaled $410 million. Transaction-adjusted free cash flow was $341 million, representing 121% conversion.

DuPont ended September with $1.65 billion in cash and equivalents and $3.09 billion in long-term debt.

The company completed a $250 million accelerated share repurchase and substantially completed $100 million of open-market share repurchases. It also plans an additional $250 million of repurchases in the fourth quarter.

Outlook

DuPont expects fourth-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.90 to $1.95 versus the $1.87 analyst estimate and sales of about $1.825 billion, in line with the $1.824 billion estimate.

The company raised full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $7.47 to $7.52 from $7.17 to $7.32, above the $7.25 analyst estimate. Sales guidance increased to about $7.19 billion from $7.16 billion to $7.19 billion, versus the $7.17 billion estimate.

The company expects high-single-digit fourth-quarter organic sales growth in both Healthcare & Water Technologies and Diversified Industrials.
