05:59 AM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's Financial Conduct Authority said it supports motor finance lenders that choose to make voluntary settlement offers, adding that customers must be offered "no less than they would receive" under the partially suspended compensation scheme. The move comes after Barclays' (BARC.L) Barclays Partner Finance confirmed it will make settlement offers to some customers who are owed compensation, according to a Tuesday release. The regulator added that it will closely monitor firms making offers and expects them to be "clear" about the terms of their acceptance.
