Scandic Hotels Group Unveils Plan for New Hotel in Sweden

03:48 AM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Scandic Hotels Group (SHOT.ST) is planning to launch a new hotel in Stockholm, according to a Tuesday release. The Swedish hotel company entered into a long-term, revenue-based lease agreement with real estate developer Corem Property Group (CORE-A.ST) for the project. The hotel development will involve the conversion of an existing office property. Scheduled for opening in 2028, the new Scandic hotel will feature 320 rooms, meeting facilities, a wellness area and gym, a restaurant and bar, parking, and spaces for events and activities.
