CrowdStrike has reached an agreement to acquire two AI security startups for a total investment of $495 million. As companies scramble to deploy AI agents, the acquisition will strengthen the company's ability to monitor and manage risk of AI agents. The cybersecurity firm will buy Fiddler AI, headquartered in Palo Alto, California, for around $400 million. The company was founded in 2018 to develop software to monitor and interpret the behavior of intelligent agents. CrowdStrike also bought Dreadnode for approximately $95 million — an automated security testing platform established in 2023 to detect vulnerabilities in AI models before they go live. CrowdStrike said that most of the two purchase prices were paid in cash, and the remaining portion was restricted stock, with vesting conditions. Mike Centonas, president of CrowdStrike, said, “We have long passed the testing phase, and now companies are deploying AI agents on a large scale.” CrowdStrike plans to integrate Fiddler's capabilities with Dreadnode to the Falcon platform early next year.
