Hong Kong Land Registry: The total value of building sales contracts in October was 50 billion yuan

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on November 3, the Hong Kong Land Registry published statistics for October 2026. A total of 5,795 property sales contracts of all types were submitted for registration with the Land Registry in October (down 10.0% from September and 19.4% compared to October last year). Based on a 12-month moving average, the number of building sales contracts in October was 7,566 (down 1.5% from September, up 16.7% compared to October last year). The total value of building sales contracts in October was $50 billion (down 6.5% from September and 13.6% compared with October last year).

Among the above sales contracts, residential property sales contracts accounted for 4,512 (down 5.2% from September, and 21.0% compared with October last year). The total value of residential property sales contracts in October was $42.3 billion (down 9.5% from September and 17.1% compared with October last year). The total number of public searches in October was 418,352 (down 9.6% from September, up 6.6% compared with October last year)
