Cembra Money Bank Buys Majority of Banco Santander's Swiss Auto Financing Business

01:40 AM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Cembra Money Bank (CMBN.SW) completed its purchase of the majority of Banco Santander's (SAN.MC) auto financing business in Switzerland, according to a Tuesday release. The Swiss consumer banking company said the transaction will add 800 million francs of leasing assets to its portfolio and expects it to be EPS accretive from 2027 onwards, with a 25-basis-point increase in its return on equity from 2028. The deal was announced in July.
