Babcock Awards GBP600 Million Contract to Kier Group JV for 10 Dock Program's Main Construction Phase

11:44 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Babcock International Group (BAB.L) awarded the KierBAM joint venture a 600 million-pound-sterling contract, funded by the UK's Ministry of Defence, for work at Devonport Royal Dockyard's 10 Dock in Plymouth, England. The Kier Group (KIE.L) and BAM Nuttall Ltd. joint venture will deliver the dock's water-retaining boundary and associated infrastructure as part of the main construction phase of the 10 Dock redevelopment program, according to a Monday release. In a separate release, infrastructure and construction group Kier said the scope also includes the construction of buttresses, new subways, and in-situ subway structures, as well as the installation of rock anchors, dowels, reinforcement and a multi-tonne caisson. The upgraded dock will support deep maintenance of Royal Navy submarines.
