Abu Dhabi National Petroleum Corporation announced that it has made a final investment decision on the Abu Dhabi Ruwaz Diab unconventional gas development project. This is the company's first large-scale unconventional gas project. The project will be put into operation in 2029, and will produce 345 million standard cubic feet of raw gas per day within 25 years. Future production is expected to reach up to 1 billion standard cubic feet/day. The natural gas will be processed on-site and connected to the UAE gas pipeline network through a new pipeline. The project will guarantee domestic gas supply and help Abu Dhabi National Petroleum achieve its LNG export targets.
