The National Energy Administration issued Notice No. 5 of 2026 to organize the sixth batch of declarations and evaluations of the first major technical equipment in the energy sector. Based on applications from various relevant agencies, and after organizing expert reviews and publicity, it was decided to list 90 items of technical equipment, including the “16MW floating offshore wind turbine”, as the first major technical equipment in the sixth batch in the energy field. The first major technical equipment development unit, user unit and supporting project in the energy sector enjoyed clear support policies from the “Opinions on Promoting the First Major Technical Equipment Demonstration Application” and the “Notice of the National Energy Administration on Promoting the First Major Technical Equipment Demonstration Application in the Energy Field”.
