Today, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage held a press conference to introduce the “15th Five-Year Plan for Archaeological Work”. It was explained at the press conference that during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, China will further enhance the level of cultural relics science and technology empowerment, deploy key tasks around a typical application scenario system for cultural relics, solve major scientific issues and key technical problems in the field of archaeology and cultural relics protection and utilization, and deploy tasks in five directions, including risk prevention and control, protection and restoration, archaeological research, resource management and revitalization and utilization. Among them, it will develop intelligent monitoring and early warning technology for cultural relics violations, and build a state-owned cultural relics resource data registration platform to support the construction of a large national cultural relics resource database.
