OmniAb came into this Q3 2026 report as a high‑growth antibody platform story with a rich pipeline and a premium P/S multiple. The share price has slipped 2.3% to US$5.11 since the release, which might look like a shrug. The print itself tells a sharper tale. Q3 revenue landed at US$4.0 million while the business still posted a quarterly loss of US$15.7 million. Raised full year 2026 revenue guidance to US$35 million to US$39 million now clashes with the reality of ongoing losses and a stock that had already run hard over the past 90 days.

Earnings tell you what OmniAb reported for the quarter, but investors who care about valuation usually study the cash flowing through the business. Look at OmniAb's cash flows on their own and the stock could be a modest 10% undervalued.
Bullish commentary frames OmniAb as a partner powered engine that gradually turns contracted economics into real cash and higher margin royalties.
"Partners have committed or are currently spending more than US$2.4b to move OmniAb derived clinical programs forward, which can magnify the impact of the company’s fixed cost base and support higher milestone and royalty revenue without a similar increase in operating expenses."
Q3 results show pieces of that thesis beginning to appear. Revenue reached US$4.0 million with year-to-date revenue at US$31.8 million, supported by milestone timing and service work. Operating costs for the quarter stayed roughly flat while net loss narrowed slightly. The new Eli Lilly ion channel deal and higher deferred revenue indicate more contracted spend starting to surface, although profitability remains some distance away.

Bearish critics argue that heavy partner reliance means OmniAb might never see a large slice of contracted economics turn into actual checks.
"While over 110 active partners, more than 425 active programs and over US$3b of contracted potential milestones appear to widen the opportunity set, the heavy dependence on partner portfolio decisions to trigger these economics means even modest tightening in partner R&D budgets could leave a larger than expected portion of contracted milestones unrealized and keep reported revenue below what the model suggests."
Q3 indicates that this risk is not working against OmniAb at this stage. Milestone heavy 9M revenue of US$31.8 million, raised 2026 revenue guidance and flat operating costs indicate that contracted deals are converting. The quarter still carries a loss of US$15.7 million and only one net new partner, so the concern about longer term milestone realization remains unproven rather than disproved.
OmniAb just reminded investors that revenue traction and reported losses can share the same quarter. The real opportunity is finding stocks that could be undervalued before the market corrects them.
