Dexcom just reported Q3 2026 results with a clear beat on the key factor in diabetes technology profitability, while the stock moved only 3% higher to about US$82 in the first full session after the release. Revenue came in at US$1.34b and net income reached US$275.1m, but the main story is margin strength that supports those earnings. That restrained share price move suggests more cautious sentiment than the earnings outcome, which showed a business converting continuous glucose monitoring demand into solid cash flow and sturdier economics.

Optimists argue Dexcom can keep layering scale on top of richer economics, turning CGM demand into a sturdier business model.
"GAAP operating income of $318.3 million or 24.3% of revenue, an increase of 590 basis points compared to the second quarter of 2025. Non-GAAP operating income* of $328.3 million or 25.1% of reported revenue, an increase of 590 basis points compared to the second quarter of 2025."
Q3 keeps that story intact. Operating margin reached 25.3% on 11% organic sales growth and gross margin of 65.1%. Management lifted full year revenue, operating margin and adjusted EBITDA margin targets. Free cash flow above US$900m year to date and US$1.8b of cash back up that profitability trend.
On the cautious side, critics focus on whether Dexcom can actually deliver the multi year expansion embedded in guidance without stumbling.
"Dexcom is raising the midpoint of fiscal year 2026 Revenue guidance and increasing fiscal year 2026 guidance for Non-GAAP Gross Profit Margin, Non-GAAP Operating Margin, and Adjusted EBITDA Margin to the following levels:"
Q3 results move this concern but do not remove it. Revenue advanced 11% organically, yet international growth slowed to 5% while the United States grew 14%. Margins already sit near the updated full year targets, helped by manufacturing and freight gains, which leaves less room if reimbursement, competition or new facility ramp costs bite later.
