Nationwide: UK Annual House Prices Up 0.5% in October

The consensus estimate for the month was a 0.6% gain in housing prices. The average price of houses was 273,566 pounds sterling, down from 274,251 pounds a month ago. On a monthly basis, seasonally adjusted house prices were stable, against the revised 0.3% fall earlier and the expected 0.2% decline.
