The US ambassador to Bangladesh said that as the Trump administration pushes to expand energy exports, Bangladesh will soon sign an agreement to purchase additional US liquefied natural gas. US Ambassador Brent Christensen said that several LNG sales proposals are currently at various stages of approval by the Bangladeshi government, and an agreement to purchase LPG may be reached in the future. In an interview in Dhaka, he said, “We think more agreements will be signed soon. We want to ensure that our allies and partners have reliable sources of energy.”
