The French Public Health Service issued a report on the 29th that from May 1 to August 31 this year, a total of 1,511 drowning incidents occurred in France, including 441 deaths. Over 80% of drowning incidents occurred during the high temperature warning period. In terms of age distribution, drowning incidents mainly involved adults and children under 5, accounting for 58% and 27% of the total number, respectively. Among them, nearly half of adult drowning incidents resulted in deaths.
