Merit Medical: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (AP) — SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (AP) — Merit Medical Systems Inc. (MMSI) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $42.3 million.

On a per-share basis, the South Jordan, Utah-based company said it had profit of 70 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were $1.12 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.04 per share.

The maker of disposable medical devices posted revenue of $416.2 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $410.4 million.

Merit Medical expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.33 to $4.37 per share, with revenue expected to be $1.64 billion.
