UK Regulator Obtains Court Undertakings to Block HTX's Crypto Promotions

09:34 AM EDT, 10/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Financial Conduct Authority secured High Court undertakings restricting Seychelles-based crypto exchange HTX, formerly Huobi, from illegally promoting its cryptoasset services to UK consumers. The court order follows the regulator's October 2025 lawsuit against HTX for violating financial promotion rules, according to a Thursday notice. The parties have now reached a settlement. Meanwhile, HTX has withdrawn from the UK market, stopped deposits and new user sign-ups, and agreed not to target or solicit UK customers.
