Howmet: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

PITTSBURGH (AP) — PITTSBURGH (AP) — Howmet Aerospace Inc. (HWM) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $567 million.

On a per-share basis, the Pittsburgh-based company said it had profit of $1.42. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.46 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.37 per share.

The maker of engineered products for the aerospace and other industries posted revenue of $2.7 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.59 billion.

For the current quarter ending in December, Howmet expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.49 to $1.51.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $2.74 billion to $2.76 billion for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Howmet expects full-year earnings in the range of $5.49 to $5.51 per share, with revenue ranging from $10.29 billion to $10.31 billion.
