02:54 AM EDT, 10/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Equinor (EQNR.OL) reported enhanced recoverable gas resources after drilling an appraisal well at the Afrodite gas-condensate discovery in the North Sea. The appraisal well results indicate recoverable volumes of 77 million barrels of oil equivalent to 180 million barrels of oil equivalent, according to a Thursday release. The asset's total volumes are roughly three times as large, but the reservoir properties mean that only parts of the resources can be recovered, the Norwegian energy company noted. The company plans to analyze the appraisal well results further. The project is owned 60% by Equinor, 25% by Orlen Upstream Norway, 10% by DNO (DNO.OL) and 5% by Wellesley Petroleum.
