Space42, Viasat to Partner with Terrestar Solutions on Shared Satellite Infrastructure

08:40 AM EDT, 10/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Emirati space technology company Space42 (ADX:SPACE42) and Viasat signed a memorandum of understanding with Terrestar Solutions to collaborate on a shared, interoperable infrastructure for direct-to-device and advanced mobile-satellite services. The partnership allows Equatys, a joint venture between Space42 and Viasat, to use its system with the Canadian mobile satellite services operator's planned low-Earth orbit constellation, CaStar, to create a coordinated multi-system non-terrestrial network infrastructure for 5G network services, according to a Wednesday release. The proposed framework also allows each party to retain ownership and control over its own space and ground assets, and customers.
