Recent advancements in AI chip technology are being demonstrated through a collaborative initiative between Otto Group and Sereact. The partners are deploying up to 25 NVIDIA-powered AI-controlled robots in a logistics center to automate the labor-intensive task of handling returned items. Utilizing Sereact’s Cortex Physical AI, the robots are capable of processing items without prior specific training, thanks to simulation and testing enhancements provided by NVIDIA's systems. By implementing a two-phase deployment, Otto Group aims to evaluate the system’s feasibility for large-scale use, highlighting a significant step in automating complex processes in retail logistics.
