Xbrane Biopharma Wins US FDA Approval for Lucentis Biosimilar

12:22 PM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The US Food and Drug Administration approved Xbrane Biopharma's (XBRANE.ST) Lucamzi, a biosimilar to Lucentis. The Swedish biopharmaceutical company said Tuesday that Lucamzi is intended to treat wet age-related macular degeneration and other serious eye conditions. A phase 3 clinical study involving 582 patients showed equivalent efficacy and comparable safety to the reference product. Following the approval, Xbrane plans to launch the drug in the US in 2027 with its partners.
