08:27 AM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK and Poland's defense secretaries signed the Warsaw Defence Plan agreement aimed at strengthening security across Europe's Eastern Flank. The deal outlines the first-phase collaboration under the new UK-Poland Security and Defence Partnership Treaty, according to a Tuesday release. It covers the manufacturing of next-generation air defense missiles and drone technologies, improving both countries' cybersecurity resilience, exchanging warship knowledge and capabilities, and increasing naval security exercises in the Baltic Sea. British aerospace and defense company BAE Systems (BA.L) and state-owned Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa will also boost their large-caliber ammunition production capacity and capability as part of the agreement.
