The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Monday, SK Hynix (SKHY.US) rose at the beginning of the session, with a maximum increase of about 3.6%. As of press time, the increase had fallen back to 2%, but the cumulative decline in October was still as high as 24%. According to media reports, industry sources revealed that SK Hynix is preparing to announce an additional shareholder return plan with a scale of 50 trillion to 60 trillion won (equivalent to 35 billion to 42 billion US dollars). Combined with its recently completed 40 trillion won share buyback and cancellation, the memory chip manufacturer's total shareholder return will reach a record 100 trillion won this year. Benefiting from the AI memory chip market, the company's performance is expected to achieve a historic increase. It plans to push valuation to the first tier in the world through large-scale shareholder return initiatives.

Industry insiders said on the 26th that SK Hynix will finalize this year's shareholder return plan through a board resolution on the 28th, and disclose it to the public along with the three quarterly reports on the same day. The company's policy is to use more than 50% of free cash flow for share repurchases, cancellation, and dividends, and is currently considering a total return scale of 90 trillion to 100 trillion won. The brokerage firm estimates SK Hynix's free cash flow this year to be around 200 trillion won.
