02:51 AM EDT, 10/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Idorsia (IDIA.SW) plans to launch a development program to investigate insomnia drug daridorexant as a potential treatment for autism spectrum disorder, or ASD. The Swiss biopharmaceutical group said Monday that exploratory findings from a phase 2 pediatric insomnia study showed improvements in affect, behavior, cognition, and daily activities among participants with ASD or subthreshold ASD characteristics who received 50 milligrams of daridorexant over two weeks. Idorsia is developing a dedicated formulation of the drug, with further details on program design and doses expected in the first half of 2027, following discussions with health authorities.
