Enova International just posted Q3 2026 numbers that look far stronger than the share price suggests. The stock came into today already under pressure over the past quarter and then dropped another 6.6% to about US$165 after the release. Yet the earnings print delivered a clean headline. Revenue reached US$510.9 million and basic earnings per share hit US$4.31, supported by a trailing net profit margin of 20.9%.

The upbeat view on Enova International rests on core operations compounding without help from the now scrapped bank deal.
"Scaling benefits from higher receivables and revenue, while G&A remains around 5% of revenue excluding one time costs, point to continued operating leverage as originations rise, which can support adjusted EPS growth faster than top line expansion."
Q3 results line up closely with that script. Originations grew 31% and receivables reached US$5.9b while G&A stayed near the guided 4.5% to 5% range. Adjusted EPS climbed 33% on 26% revenue growth, which shows operating leverage is coming through in the core Enova International franchise even after the Grasshopper exit.

Credit worry hinges on whether Enova International is growing small business lending too quickly for its risk tools to keep up.
"The rapid expansion of small business lending, with originations at $1.7b and receivables at $3.7b concentrated in this segment, risks stretching underwriting and portfolio monitoring as newer cohorts season. This could pressure net revenue margins and raise net charge-offs if credit normalizes from current levels."
Latest figures cut both ways. SMB originations reached US$1.8b and receivables US$4.0b, yet SMB net charge offs stayed at 4.8% and consolidated net revenue margin landed at 61%. The stress point is early flickers in delinquency, with 30+ day late rates ticking higher, which keeps the seasoning risk very much alive despite stable loss ratios today.
Enova International just showed how strong reported numbers can coincide with a sharp price drop. The real opportunity could sit in stocks where fundamentals strengthen before valuations catch up.
