Allegiant Air said on Friday that it has exercised the option to buy six Boeing 737-8 aircraft under a purchase agreement signed with Boeing in 2021. The company said the total catalog price of these airliners, which are scheduled to be delivered in 2028, is in excess of $720 million. Under the agreement, Allegiant Airlines has confirmed the purchase of 56 aircraft, of which 22 have been delivered, in addition to the purchase options for 74 aircraft that have not been exercised. According to the aviation analysis consulting firm IBA, the estimated market value of these aircraft is around US$351 million based on the year of delivery.
