ABB, Graco Unit Enter Licensing Deal for New Data Center Cooling Technology

11:25 AM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- ABB (ABBN.SW, ABB.ST) signed a licensing agreement with Graco unit Electric Torque Machines, or ETM, for the latter's patented transverse flux motor technology for artificial intelligence data center cooling applications. Under the deal, the electrification and automation company will commercialize ETM's motor technology, which uses low speeds to generate high torque for large cooling fans, pumps, and heat rejection towers, according to a Thursday release.
