Quest Diagnostics: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

SECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) — SECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) — Quest Diagnostics Inc. (DGX) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $312 million.

The Secaucus, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of $2.78 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $3 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.85 per share.

The medical laboratory operator posted revenue of $3.1 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $3.04 billion.

Quest Diagnostics expects full-year earnings in the range of $11.25 to $11.35 per share, with revenue in the range of $12.07 billion to $12.11 billion.
