BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings of $1.85 billion.

On a per-share basis, the Bethesda, Maryland-based company said it had net income of $7.97.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $7.49 per share.

The aerospace and defense company posted revenue of $20.71 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $20.43 billion.

Lockheed expects full-year revenue in the range of $80 billion to $82 billion.
