HMS Networks walked into its Q3 2026 report with the stock flat to soft in the short term and trading around SEK500, a level already baking in a rich P/E and upbeat growth expectations. The headline was clear: revenue crossed SEK1,024m, the first quarter above the 1b mark, and EBITA margin printed a firm 27.4%.
For an industrial connectivity specialist, that profitability beat sits at the center of today’s story. Any sharp 1 day move in the share price now reveals more about investor emotion toward valuation and margin durability than about the underlying Q3 delivery itself.

The bullish angle claims HMS Networks can lean on industrial networking and bolt-on deals without giving up financial discipline.
"A key factor is that HMS Networks continues to execute on acquisitions and integration, using deals in industrial communications and building automation to broaden its technology and customer reach without eroding its profitability or balance sheet strength."
Q3 results align with that narrative. INT orders increased with help from the Molex assets, the group EBITA margin remained at 27.4%, and net debt to EBITDA moved down to about 1.52x. The ROBOT S.A. offer extends the building automation push while keeping leverage moderate so far.

Bears argue that HMS Networks’ profit structure is at risk as costs creep higher while weaker niches struggle to pull their weight.
"Although the company is increasing R&D investment, capitalizing SEK 27 million in both Q1 and Q2 2026 and using AI coding tools to keep large projects on schedule, the higher structural cost base and longer payback period for new product platforms could erode net margins if pricing or volumes in end markets such as Building Automation and European automotive do not improve."
Q3 shows that concern, but not yet the damage. EBITA margin held at 27.4% and New Industries orders and sales both grew. The pressure is in the setup. Management flags component and tariff headwinds into Q1 2027 and plans to implement price increases from January, so the real margin test still sits ahead rather than in this quarter’s numbers.
HMS Networks just showed how a solid margin print can still leave investors debating what is already priced in. The real opportunity could be spotting stocks where fundamentals improve before valuations fully catch up.
