11:26 PM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- A court in Munich ordered Volkswagen's (VOW.F, VOW3.F) commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN and German truck manufacturer Daimler Truck (DTG.F) to reimburse customers over alleged involvement in a price-fixing cartel, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday. Citing an emailed statement, the report noted that MAN was ordered to repay a portion of the price for heavy- and medium-duty trucks it sold from 1997 through 2009. Daimler Truck received an order to reimburse sales of heavy trucks and medium-sized trucks. The report added that the truck manufacturers have the option to appeal the ruling. Volkswagen's MAN and Daimler Truck did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
