DSV just dropped its Q3 2026 numbers and the mood around the stock does not quite match the freight reality. Coming into the release, the shares had risen about 15% over the past month and barely moved over the last week, which hinted at cautious optimism already priced in. The report then landed with solid volume and profit delivery, including basic earnings per share of 12.6 DKK and adjusted free cash flow of DKK 6.4b. That mix sets up a sentiment clash between investors focusing on short term volatility and those watching the earnings power being rebuilt underneath.

Earnings tell you what DSV reported this quarter, but cash flows show what the business actually generates over time, and that is what many valuation focused investors watch most closely.
Based on DSV's recent cash generation alone, this model suggests the stock could be a striking 48% undervalued.
Optimists argue that DSV is on track to turn Schenker plus new systems into a higher earning logistics platform.
"The ongoing large scale integration of Schenker is expected to drive further synergy realisation, with roughly 45% of the planned DKK 9b already in the run rate and management guiding to complete integration by the end of 2026 and reach the full synergy level in 2027, which directly targets higher EBIT and EPS."
Q3 confirms that plan is intact but slower. 2026 EBIT guidance is tightened to DKK 24 to 25b and at least DKK 4b of synergies are still expected in 2026, yet about DKK 1b of the original synergy pool is now deferred into 2027 with full benefit only in 2028. EPS and free cash flow are progressing, so the earnings engine is rebuilding even if the Schenker timetable stretches.
On the risk side, sceptics focus on Road and cash conversion as potential drags on the whole story.
"Road operations are still experiencing network integration and service issues in key European markets, with delivery in full and on time metrics around 89% compared with the historical 93% to 95% range. This is driving extra terminal and express transport costs and could hold back EBIT and net margins if normal service levels do not return as planned."
Management now says quality problems in Road are fixed and extra costs have dropped out, yet Q3 still carried about DKK 200 to 300m of residual drag and groupage volumes remain pressured. Group conversion of roughly 32.6% year to date and DKK 6.4b of adjusted free cash flow show better cash efficiency, although working capital is still described as elevated. The risk has eased but timing slippage and a slower Road volume rebuild mean it has not disappeared.

DSV shows that earnings progress and sentiment do not always align in the market. The real opportunity is finding stocks that could be undervalued before sentiment adjusts to their earnings profile.
