United Rentals: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

The Stamford, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of $14.77 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $15.55 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $13.83 per share.

The equipment rental company posted revenue of $4.89 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.69 billion.

United Rentals expects full-year revenue in the range of $18 billion to $18.2 billion.
