Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ:SMCI) shares are trading higher on Thursday after the company raised its first quarter guidance on Wednesday ahead of its earnings on November 3, 2026.
The company projects revenue of $18.5 billion to $19.5 billion, up from prior guidance of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion on higher demand for AI platforms.

Analyst Consensus & Recent Actions: The stock carries a Hold rating with an average price forecast of $38.00. Recent analyst moves include:
On Wednesday, Super Micro Computer said it is partnering with Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) to roll out AI-powered radio access networks (AI-RAN), combining Nokia’s network technology, NVIDIA Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA)‘s accelerated computing platform and Supermicro’s AI-optimized infrastructure.
The integrated system will support 5G network efficiency while allowing operators to run connectivity and AI workloads on shared infrastructure, creating opportunities for low-latency services such as voice AI, vision AI, enterprise edge computing and physical AI applications.
The companies aim to help telecom operators improve network performance, generate revenue from new AI services and prepare for future 6G networks.
Wednesday’s jump is helping SMCI defend its longer-term uptrend structure, but the chart still has work to do: the stock is trading 6.9% below its 20-day SMA ($39.67) and 4.9% below its 50-day SMA ($38.81), which keeps near-term trend pressure in focus. On the other hand, it’s still 5.2% above the 100-day SMA ($35.09) and 13.5% above the 200-day SMA ($32.52), so the intermediate trend remains constructive.
RSI is the cleaner momentum lens right now, sitting at 46.85, which reads as neutral and consistent with a stock trying to transition from a pullback into a new push higher. In plain terms, RSI helps gauge whether a move is getting stretched; this level suggests SMCI isn’t overbought, but it also isn’t showing runaway momentum yet.
Below is the Benzinga Edge scorecard for Super Micro Computer, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses compared to the broader market:
The Verdict: Super Micro Computer’s Benzinga Edge signal reveals a growth-led profile with strong quality and value support, while momentum sits in the middle of the pack. For longer-term bulls, that mix can work well if price can reclaim the 20-day/50-day area and turn $42.00 into a breakout level rather than a ceiling.
Significance: Because SMCI carries such a heavy weight in these funds, any significant inflows or outflows for these ETFs will likely force automatic buying or selling of the stock.
SMCI Stock Price Activity: Super Micro Computer shares are trading higher by 9.66% at $35.60 at the time of publication on Wednesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
