Rebuilt system runs complete NEMT dispatch on a MacBook, iPad or phone.
PHOENIX, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MediRoutes has launched the new dispatch experience, a rebuilt dispatch platform for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) providers that runs entirely in a web browser. The full MediRoutes dispatch toolset now works on a MacBook, PC, iPad, tablet or phone. Previously, it was available only in the MediRoutes desktop app, and the earlier web app offered a limited version. The new dispatch brings trip scheduling, near real-time vehicle tracking, route adjustments and passenger notifications onto a single screen.
Much of the dispatch software NEMT operators use today was built before trip volumes grew, brokers added stricter rules and operating costs climbed. MediRoutes, which has supported more than 100 million NEMT trips since 2008, rebuilt its dispatch platform to address those changes in one system.
"One late pickup can unravel a whole day, and the person fixing it isn't always sitting at a desk," said David Reinkensmeyer, CEO of MediRoutes. "So we rebuilt dispatch from the ground up to run in a browser, with everything on one screen. A dispatcher can spot a late driver from an iPad in the parking lot and reassign the trip before the clinic ever calls."
What's new in New Dispatch
Developed with operator input
The new dispatch was developed with a group of MediRoutes customers who used the platform in live operations before launch.
"Dispatchers told us they didn't need more noise on the screen. They needed the right information to surface at the right moment," said Morgan Landry, COO at MediRoutes. "We spent years listening to the people running the fleet, and the new dispatch is built around the handful of things they check a hundred times a shift."
Grace Nachtigal, operations supervisor at Contemporary Transportation and Discover Ride Transportation serving the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, was part of that early customer group.
"My favorite thing about the new dispatch is how much less clicking between pages there is," said Nachtigal. "You can access everything on the same screen instead of going back and forth. It saves time when you're getting back to those calls."
Availability
The new dispatch experience is now available to MediRoutes customers at no additional cost. Other NEMT providers can request a demo at mediroutes.com/get-a-demo. More information is available at mediroutes.com/product/new-dispatch.
