Novo Nordisk announced on October 21 that Novo Nordisk® long-term weight management indications have been approved and updated by the China National Drug Administration to further cover those who meet the criteria for determining overweight and obesity in Chinese adults. Following this update, Novo Ying® is suitable for long-term weight management of adult patients based on diet control and increased physical activity. The initial body mass index meets the following conditions: ≥28 kg/m2; or ≥24 kg/m2 to <28 kg/m2 with at least one weight-related complication, such as hyperglycemia, high blood pressure, abnormal blood lipids, obstructive sleep apnea, or cardiovascular disease.
